Campsites with water parks and slides on Lake Garda

Water parks & pool fun

Campsites with water parks and slides on Lake Garda

Large pool complexes, water slides and spray parks: these four campsites make the water park a central part of the holiday.

Pool fun at the campsite

When the campsite water park becomes an attraction of its own

A swimming pool is now standard at many Lake Garda campsites. A true water park goes much further: several pools, water slides, shallow children’s areas, spray parks and water games can easily fill an entire holiday day without leaving the campsite.

With children, however, the details matter. Not every slide is suitable for every age, some water attractions operate fully only during the main season, and large pool complexes naturally create a lively atmosphere. For families deliberately looking for action and plenty of choice in the water, there are particularly strong options around Lazise, Bardolino and on the western shore.

For this page we selected four campsites that have not yet appeared as a main recommendation on our previous theme pages: Camping Lido near Lazise, La Rocca Camping Village near Bardolino, Le Palme Lazise Family Collection and Camping Eden near San Felice del Benaco.

Camping Lido – campsite on Lake Garda near Lazise

Lazise · 4 stars

Camping Lido

This large family campsite near Lazise places a clear emphasis on its water park, with several pools, lagoon areas and numerous slides, while also sitting directly on Lake Garda.

  • Water park & slides
  • Directly on the lake
  • Family entertainment

Why this is our top recommendation

Camping Lido is our top recommendation for families who want the water park to be a central part of the holiday. The resort near Lazise combines several pool areas with different depths, water games and slides for different age groups. Its position directly on Lake Garda also makes it easy to combine a pool day with time by the lake.

The range of water facilities is the main strength: younger children have shallower areas and playful features, while older children and teenagers can make greater use of the slides. During peak season, the atmosphere is naturally lively. For families deliberately looking for the combination of water park, holiday resort and a true lakeside setting, Camping Lido is a particularly strong choice.

Especially suitable for: Families with children of different ages for whom a large water park is one of the most important campsite criteria.

Choosing guide

What to check when comparing water parks and slides

The number of pools alone does not tell you whether a water area will suit your family. Ages, slide rules, season and location matter too.

01

A water park is more than one large pool

Several pools are useful, but for children the key attractions are often slides, shallow lagoons, spray parks and water games. Compare the type of water facilities, not just the overall size of the pool complex.

02

Check age and height rules for the slides

Faster or longer slides often have minimum age, height or other safety requirements. If the slides are a main reason for choosing the campsite, check in advance which ones your children will actually be able to use.

03

The full range may not operate off-season

Pools, spray parks and slides are not always fully operational throughout the campsite’s entire opening period. In spring and autumn in particular, check the seasonal operating times for individual water areas.

04

Consider the pool location on large resorts

On extensive campsites, the walk from your mobile home or pitch to the water park can be much longer than expected. With young children, it is therefore worth checking where your chosen accommodation category is located within the site.

Enjoy the water

Three experiences combining pools, slides and Lake Garda

A campsite water park can become a full day’s programme, but it is still worth combining pool time with the lake itself.

Slide fun

Spend a full day in the campsite water park

At larger resorts, a pool day can involve far more than swimming. Slides, water games, children’s pools and quieter areas can be alternated throughout the day, especially convenient when nobody wants to drive to an external water park.

Pool & lake

Pool in the morning, Lake Garda in the evening

The special advantage of many Lake Garda campsites is the combination: action in the water park during the day and another visit to the lakeshore later on. Children get their slides and water games while Lake Garda still remains part of the holiday day.

More water fun

Add a day at Caneva Aquapark

Families who cannot get enough of water slides can combine the campsite water park with an additional day at a larger water park. From the eastern shore around Lazise, the major leisure attractions are particularly easy to reach.

Find your campsite

Choose the water park to match your children’s ages

With younger children, shallow pools, water games and manageable distances often matter more than spectacular slides. Older children and teenagers are more likely to value longer slides, sports and a varied pool complex. Check not only whether a water park exists, but which areas are actually open and suitable for your children during your travel dates.
